IMPORTANT: READ THE OPERATOR’S MANUAL THOROUGHLY AND FOLLOW THE SAFE OPERATION PRACTICES WHILE OPERATING THE UNIT.
Read and understand all instruction, warning and danger labels on the unit.
Remove the cap from the
boom. Push the bottom add-on
i
nto the coupler. Turn the knob
c
lockwise to tighten.
Place D-handle over the shaft housing and
o
nto the bottom clamp at minimum of 6
i
nches from the end of the shaft grip.
Tighten the screws with an appropriate
tool until the handle is secure.
T
ip unit so that the back of the engine
is facing up in a vertical position.
Remove the oil fill plug from the
crankcase and pour the entire bottle
of 4-cycle oil into the oil fill hole.

OTE: Do not mix gas and oil
Install the cutting attachment shield on
the shield mount by inserting the three
(
3) screws into the shield mount. Tighten
s
ecurely with a flat blade screwdriver.

OTE: The cutting shield MUST be
installed when operating the unit as a
trimmer.

Insert 10' of 0.105"SplitLine
®
through
hole in top of reel. Pull most of line
through hole until 3"-4" remains.
Wind line tightly in direction of arrow.
Split other end of SplitLine
®
back 6"-7".
Push 6"-7" ends into
the holding slots.
Insert lines through eyelets in spool.
Insert spring and reel into spool.
Pull lines firmly to release
from holding slots.
Hold the inner reel in place.
Tighten Bump Knob
counterclockwise.
Bend short end and push it
into the other hole. Pull tight.

Unscrew bump knob
clockwise. Remove
inner reel and spring.

to Start Engine

or complete instructions, refer to the

tarting/ Stopping Instructions of the
unit’s manual.
Continue to squeeze
throttle control and
move the choke
lever to Position 3.
Move choke lever to
Position 2.
C
ontinue squeezing the
throttle control and run unit for
additional 30 to 60 seconds to
complete warm up. The unit
m
ay be used during this time.
Pull starter rope 3 to 5 times.
M
aking sure to keep throttle
squeezed, run unit for 30-60
seconds to warm up.
C

3 to 5 X
Fill fuel tank with fresh fuel.
Press primer bulb 10x and move
c
hoke lever to Position 1.
PRESS the lockout in;
S
QUEEZE and HOLD throttle
c
ontrol for ALL further steps.

ull the rope 5 times.
Crouch in starting
position.

DIDN’T START?
Repeat the starting instructions. If the unit
still fails to start, refer to the operator’s
m
anual for additional starting and
troubleshooting information.
HOT RESTART
If the engine is hot: Move the choke lever to
Position 2, press the primer bulb 10 times,
s
queeze the throttle control and pull the
s
tarter rope until the unit starts. Run the unit
for 2-5 minutes. The unit may be used during
t
his time. Then move the choke lever to
Position 3.
