15.
SERVICE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
To avoid personal injury, do as follows:
Read the “Chapter 1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS” at
the head of this manual.
Read the danger, warning and caution statements
on the safety-alert symbols on the tractor.
To avoid possible poisoning from exhaust fume, do
not operate the engine in an enclosed place that
lacks adequate ventilation.
NEVER start the engine while standing on the
ground. Be sure to start the engine only from the
operator's seat.
Before starting any servicing work, park your
tractor on solid, level ground, engage the parking
brake securely, turn off the Power Take Off (PTO)
switch, lower the implement to the ground, set the
forward and reverse drive pedal to the NEUTRAL
position, stop the engine and from the starter key
switch.
Special Note for the Battery
The battery posts, terminals and associated
accessories contain lead and lead compounds
which are known to the State of California to cause
cancer and reproductive harm. After handling the
battery, wash your hands thoroughly.
