Step 1
Locate vehicle battery under the hood
and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Step 2
Starting on the front passenger side,
remove the sill plate by pulling upwards (A).
Step 3
Remove the passenger side kick panel to access the vehicle
12-pin wiring connector (B). The connector will be similar to that
on the harness with the relays.
Step 4
Insert the custom wiring connector with relays into the vehicle
12-pin connector. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place. Secure any loose wires with the
provided cable ties.
Step 5
The vehicle factory tow plug is located on the driver side, along
the frame rail behind the rear bumper (C, D). The connector
will be similar to the one on the 7-way harness. Remove the
protective cap, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.
Step 6
Insert the 7-way harness connector into the vehicle tow harness
connector making sure that the locking tab is in place (E,F).
Step 7
When in use, route the 7-way to the center of the vehicle. Mount
the 7-way end in an accessible location with a bracket (not
included). Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.
Step 8
Reinstall all items removed during install and reconnect
negative battery terminal. Install the provided 4-flat dust cover
to help prevent corrosion.
