Read and follow the installation manual carefully.
Failure to do so could result in damage to the brake control unit, loss of trailer brakes or poor brake performance.
The vehicle must have +12V, ground, and turn signals connected to the 7-way socket. Brake output to the 7-way socket is not required.
See below for ‘Vehicle-Specific Requirements’.

An existing aftermarket or factory brake control will not function if Echo brake control is installed.
No special wiring or connectors are required for use.

Avoid distracted driving. Only make adjustments when the vehicle is stationary.
