4.3. CONTROL CHARACTERS
Table 4, on page 26, lists all the commands for function management of the P 190 printer. These commands
can be transmitted to the printer with either the serial or parallel interface; if, however, the parallel interface
is used, the user will not be able to receive the data required, since this interface is unidirectional.
The commands can be transmitted to the printer at any moment, but they will only be carried out when the
characters previously tramsitted have been printed or the commands previously transmitted have been
carried out. There are no commands with priority status; all the commands are carried out when the
circular buffer is free to do so. They can be one-, two- or three-byte commands.
The table describes each control character in detail (the table lists the page on which the command is
described).
