Load Leg

The CLOUD T Base is equipped with a retractable Load Leg that helps minimize crash
forces on a child in a frontal crash. The Load Leg is an effective safety feature of the
CLOUD T Base when used properly, and USING IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
If all installation requirements for the Load Leg cannot be met, you MUST choose another
seating position, use the Base with the Load Leg stored (pg. 36), or install without the
Base. Consult the vehicle Owner's Manual and the Load Leg Warnings on pgs. 15-16 of
this manual.
Using the Load Leg
1. Turn Base over and pull Load Leg out
as shown. The indicator at the top of the
Load Leg will turn GREEN when fully
open.
2. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground
and place the Base in an approved
vehicle seating location.
3. Adjust the Recline Foot so that the
Recline Angle remains in the blue zone
on the Recline Indicator as shown on pg.
67.
