Installing and Removing the Infant Car Seat
Installing with Base Using Rigid LATCH (Recommended Installation)
1. Ensure Rigid LATCH is removed from storage
and positioned for use (pg. 38).
2. Turn Base over and pull Load Leg out as
shown on pg. 34.
NOTE: If all installation requirements for the
Load Leg cannot be met, you MUST choose
another seating position, use the Base with the
Load Leg stored (pg. 36), or install without the
Base. Consult the vehicle Owner's Manual and
the Load Leg Warnings on pgs. 15-16 of this
manual.
3. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground and
place the Base in an approved vehicle seating
location.
4. Adjust the Recline Foot so that the Recline
Angle remains in the blue zone on the Recline
Indicator as shown on page 67.
IMPORTANT: Not all vehicles are designed
the same. If, after completing step 4, you are
unable to perform steps 5-6, reset the Recline
Foot and complete steps 5-6 FIRST, then
adjust the Recline Foot as shown in step 4.
