Installing and Removing the Infant Car Seat
Installing with Base Using Lap Belt Only
1. Ensure Rigid LATCH is removed from
storage and positioned for use (pg. 38).
2. Turn Base over and pull Load Leg out as
shown on pg. 34.
NOTE: If all installation requirements for
the Load Leg cannot be met, you MUST
choose another seating position, use the
Base with the Load Leg stored (pg. 36),
or install without the Base. Consult the
vehicle Owner's Manual and the Load Leg
Warnings on pgs. 15-16 of this manual.
3. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground
and place the Base in an approved vehicle
seating location.
4. Adjust the Recline Foot so that the Recline
Angle remains in the blue zone on the
Recline Indicator as shown on page 67.
5. While pushing down on the SafeLock Belt
Tensioner A, squeeze the gray button B
toward the rear of the seat, then lift the
Belt Tensioner to open.
