3. LOCK your vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt.
• In many vehicles, you can switch the
Shoulder Belt retractor into locking mode by
pulling the Shoulder Belt out all the way.
• In some vehicles the buckle locks.
Refer to your vehicle Owner's Manual for
details.
To check if the vehicle belt is locked, pull
up rmly on the LAP PORTION of the belt
between the CARRIER-ONLY BELT PATH
openings. The belt should remain tight if the
vehicle system is locked.
4. Push Infant Car Seat rmly into vehicle seat,
pressing down near the child's legs A, while
pulling up on the SHOULDER PORTION of
the vehicle seat belt B to remove slack from
the LAP PORTION.
5. Make sure that vehicle belt buckle and
hardware DO NOT INTERFERE with the
Infant Car Seat.
