Damage InSpectIon
• Pleasefullyinspectunitfordamagebeforeinstallation.
• Iftheunitisdamagedinshipment,returntheunittothestoreinwhichitwasboughtforrepairorreplacement.
• Iftheunitisdamagedbythecustomer,repairorreplacementistheresponsibilityofthecustomer.
• Iftheunitisdamagedbytheinstaller(ifotherthanthecustomer),repairofreplacementmustbemadebyarrangementbetween
customerandinstaller.
• Onceinstalled,alldamageswillbeassumedtheresponsibilityoftheinstaller.
DuctIng
• Toreducetheriskofre,useonlymetalductwork.
• Toreduceriskofreandtoproperlyexhaustair,besure
toductairoutside–donotventexhaustairintospaces
withinwalls,ceilings,attics,crawlspaces,orgarages.
WARNING
• Best to use rigid type metal ducts. Flexible ducts can
restrictairowbymorethan50%.
• Reducethenumberoftransitionsandturnsasmuchas
possible.Ifareducerisused,installalongreducerinstead
ofapancakereducer.Ifturnsandtransitionsarerequired,
installthemasfarawayfromtheopeningaspossibleand
asfarapartbetweentwoaspossible.
CAUTION
• 6”roundductworkmustbeusedtomaintainmaximum
airoweciencywithmotorsof300CFMorgreater.If
theuseofanysizeductingislessthan6”,thewarrantyis
automaticallyvoided.
• eventingductmustgohorizontallyorverticallyuptothe
outsidewallortheroof.Ifitisturneddownwardanywhere
intheventingsystem,thewarrantyisautomaticallyvoided.
WARNING
Fastenallconnectionswithsheetmetalscrewsandtapealljoints
withcertiedsilvertapeorduct.
Donotcutajoistorstudunlessabsolutelynecessary.Ifajoistor
studmustbecutthenasupportingframemustbeconstructed.
Beforemakingcutoutsmakesurethereisproperclearancewithin
theceilingorwallfortheexhaustvent.
