Extender
Existing Network
Existing Network: You may select whether to connect to an uplink network using Wi-Fi
(Wireless Extender) or Ethernet (Access Point).
If Wi-Fi is selected, the following options are available:
Wi-Fi Name (SSID): The name of the wireless network currently being extended.
Security: The type of security used by the uplink wireless network.
Password: The currently congured password for the uplink network.
To select a dierent Wi-Fi network to extend use the Scan button or congure manually:
Scan: Press this button to perform a survey of wireless networks in range.
Choose a network you wish to extend from the list and then press
the Select button. Press the X to cancel.
Wi-Fi Name (SSID): The name of the selected from the scan. You may also manually input
the name of the network you wish to extend.
Security: The type of security of the selected network. If you are manually
conguring the connection, select the type of network security, either
None or WPA/WPA2-(Personal).
Password: Enter the wireless password of the uplink network.
From this page you may view and modify the current Extender Mode settings.
Existing Network displays either the current settings, which were congured
using WPS or Setup Wizard, or the factory defaults. You may also congure the
Extended Wireless Network settings from this page.
