8. If you are conguring the DIR-879 wirelessly from a PC, connect to a Wi-Fi network printed on the included Wi-Fi
Conguration Card. You can also nd the Wi-Fi network names and passwords printed on the label attached to the
bottom your router.
9. If you are connecting to a broadband service that uses a dynamic connection (not PPPoE), you may be online already.
Try opening a web browser and connecting to a website. If the website does not load, proceed to Completing Setup
on page 18.

7. Connect the supplied power adapter to the router and a power outlet, press the power button, and wait approximately
one minute until the LED indicator on the front of the device changes from orange to solid white.

If you are conguring the DIR-879 from a PC with a wired Ethernet connection, plug one end of an Ethernet cable
into the port labeled 1 on the back of the router, and the other end into the Ethernet port on your computer.
