Section 4 - Conguration
MAC Filter
The MAC lter is used to restrict or allow certain types of Ethernet Frames
through the gateway based on their source or destination MAC address. These
lters are helpful in securing or restricting trac on your local network. To
access this page, click from the menu on the bar
on the top of the page and then click the  link. To return to the IP
Filter page, click .
You may choose from the following options: , Only allow
, or
Only deny computers with addresses listed below access to the network.
The currently dened MAC lters are displayed in the table. You may dene up
to 32 MAC ltering rules. If you wish to remove a rule, click on its trash can icon
in the Delete column. If you wish to edit a rule, click on its pencil icon in the
Edit column. If you wish to create a new rule, click the button.
If you enable MAC ltering, click  to create a new MAC ltering rule.
Create New Rule
Name: Create a name for the rule.
MAC Address: Enter the MAC address to apply the rule to.
Schedule: Use the drop-down menu to select the time schedule that the rule will
be enabled on. The schedule may be set to , or you can create
your own schedules in the Schedules section. Refer to Schedule on
page 62 for more information.
Click when you are done.
