What to do if my Da-Lite Large Cosmopolitan Electrol will not operate and the motor does not hum?

If your Da-Lite Projection Screen won't operate and the motor isn't humming, it could be due to several reasons. First, check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker and replace or reset them as necessary. Ensure there's power reaching the operating switch or junction box, and that all wire connections are tight and correct. If the thermal overload has tripped, let the motor cool down for about 15 minutes before trying again. For 'Down' position issues, check for power across the black and white leads; for 'Up' position, check across the red and white leads. Also, inspect for any broken wires and reconnect them, or consider replacing the motor assembly if the motor, limit switch, or capacitor is defective or if the capacitor has burned out.
