What to do if my Da-Lite PROFESSIONAL ELECTROL Projection Screen will not go down?
    • L
      Linda TuckerAug 17, 2025
If your Da-Lite Projection Screen isn't operating or going down and the motor isn't humming, it could be due to several reasons: * A blown facility fuse: Replace the facility fuse. * A tripped facility circuit breaker: Reset the circuit breaker. * No power to the operating switch or junction box: Check the power supply. * Thermal overload tripped at the junction box: Tighten all loose wire connections. Additionally, a broken wire in the 'down' position requires rechecking the wiring. Temporary binding can be resolved by turning the roller by hand with the power off. If the motor, limit switch, or capacitor is defective, consult the installation instructions. A burned-out capacitor necessitates replacing the motor assembly.

If your Da-Lite Projection Screen won't move upward, and the motor isn't humming, it might be due to: * A blown facility fuse: Replace the facility fuse. * A tripped facility circuit breaker: Reset the circuit breaker. * No power to the operating switch or junction box: Check the power supply. * Power at the junction box and thermal overload tripped: Tighten all loose wire connections. If the motor hums but the screen still doesn't move, it could be a broken wire in the 'up' position (check the wiring), a defective motor, limit switch, or capacitor (check for continuity). Temporary binding can be resolved by turning the roller by hand with the power off. A burned-out capacitor requires replacing the motor assembly.

Why does the fabric on my Da-Lite PROFESSIONAL ELECTROL Projection Screen hang crooked?
    • J
      Jennifer NobleAug 22, 2025
If your Da-Lite Projection Screen fabric hangs crooked, it could be due to a few reasons. First, ensure the screen is installed properly by checking if it's level and plumb. If the fabric has backed up inside the case, adjust the 'down' limit switch slowly until the roller is exposed and the wrinkle comes out, then readjust for proper drop. If the fabric is damaged, consider replacing it.

If your Da-Lite Projection Screen is making excessive noise, it could be due to a few reasons. A squeaking sound might indicate the rubber end plug is rubbing on the motor; try centering the roller between the mounting brackets by pushing the roller away from the motor end. A grinding sound could mean there's a foreign object rubbing on the roller or fabric, so remove it. Gear noise may require replacing the motor assembly.
