OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF HIGH PRESSURE WATER MIST PUMP UNIT

result. Any procedures stipulated by the system manufacturer shall be carried out in addition to this
program.
The following checks and inspections shall be made and recorded at intervals of not more than 6
months:
Half-yearly Servicing Routine by Danfoss Semco Approved Installer
Test operation of manual starting means (electrical system).
Check and test operation of safeties and alarms (electrical system).
Clean boxes, panels and cabinets.
Control of change over switch
between normal and emergency
supply
For UCP provided with power supply from more than
one source.
Normal supply and Emergency Power Supply.
The function of the automatic change-over switch.
Each routine of the half-yearly schedule shall be carried out by a competent person from Danfoss
Semco approved service company who shall provide the operator with a signed and dated report of
the inspection, advice of any rectification carried out or needed, and advice of any external factors,
which may have affected the results.
In addition to the weekly routine, the following checks and inspections shall be made and recorded
at intervals of not more than 12 months:

Valves and supply controls
Mechanically moveable components on the unit shall be
checked for smooth movement.
Automatic high-pressure pump unit flow test checks that
the pump unit capacity is according to type label.
Float valves in unit tank shall be checked for correct
function.
Unit filters shall be inspected, cleaned or replaced as
necessary.
Back up batteries for Logic
relay in UCP
Batteries supplying the logic relay in the unit control
panel shall be inspected and checked for capacity (24
VDC). At capacity below 80%, the batteries shall be
replaced.
