  If the grill temperature is too high on the SMOKE setting, the "P" setting might be too low. To adjust this, turn the temperature dial to SMOKE, push the "P" SET button, and increase the "P" setting. Note that after selecting a SMOKE setting after a temperature dial preset, the auger will continuously turn and feed pellets for four minutes, raising the temperature momentarily. It will decrease and stabilize once the "P" setting cycle begins (approximately five to ten minutes).

  The "ErP" error message can appear for two reasons. One cause is that the temperature dial was not in the OFF position when last connected to AC power. To fix this, turn the temperature dial to OFF, wait two minutes, then turn the unit back on to SMOKE or your desired temperature. This safety feature prevents an inadvertent start. The other cause may be a power outage occurred while in operation. Unfortunately, the manual does not provide a solution for this case.
