MENU J FACTORY SETTINGS (factory level) continued
Switch to DX: Forces DX into operation when only CW cooling has run past this
setting. Range of adjustment is from 0 to 9999hours. The default is 0, which
disables this function.

Note: The dap4 can also operate with an On / Off CW valve. The settings on this
screen only apply to the 0-10v modulated CW valve.
Band: This setting determines the sensitivity of the algorithm. The smaller the
band, the more the algorithm will try to correct the error. If the band setting is too
low, the CW valve will oscillate by being over-responsive. If the band setting is
too high, the CW valve may lack responsiveness. Ideally, the band s et t i ng
s hou ld be as lo w a s possible without causing oscillation. In proportional mode,
modulation will be 100% when temperature equals setpoint + band. Range of
adjustment is 0.5 to 25.0°F with a default of 3.0°F.
Integration Time: Used to incrementally change the CW valve modulation as a
result of an error between set point and the measured temperature. The higher
Integral time setting is, the slower the CW valve will be changed. If the Integral
time is set too low the CW valve could change quickly, causing oscillation. If
Integral time setting is too high, the CW valve may become sluggish to change. A
setting of 0s puts the algorithm in a proportional only mode, without integral error
correction. Range of adjustment is 0 to 999s with a default of 650s (150s if control
set to discharge temperature).
Derivative: Causes a sudden change in water valve opening to correct the error
as a result of a quick change in measured temperature. Typically, the derivative
setting is about a sixth of the Integral time setting. A setting of 0 puts the algorithm
in an integral only mode, without derivative error correction. Range of adjustment
is 0 to 999 with a default of 0.
