MENU M Set Zone Control (continued)
Zone Control Units
Note: U1 is the master
Mode
Unit #1: Stdby
Unit #2: Prior
Unit #3: Prior
Unit #4: Off
Unit #5: Stdby
Each unit in the zone must be assigned a mode as described below. Note:
More units may be displayed than are in the zone and their setting makes
no difference.
Stdby (default) - Allows standby unit to switch to running due to one of these
four causes:
1.To satisfy the minimum Number Units On setting. Based on the
current lead unit, the unit may be requested to run.
2.To satisfy the Temperature Assist” feature (if enabled). If the
average zone temperature gets too high, additional standby units may
be requested to assist.
3.To satisfy the airflow Assist On Demandsetting (when fan mode set
to C Airflow”). Should Unit 1 modulate the fans greater than this
setting, additional standby units may be requested to assist.
4.To fill in for another unit that has an alarm, based on selections for
Standby Alarms. (described later in this section). The unit may be
requested to run without delay. When the alarm condition is corrected
on the unit that had the alarm, the unit may then return to standby.
Prior - Priority mode operates the same as the standy mode described
above, except it has priority in the staging order. After all units in priority
mode are requested to run, the Standby units will start staging on. Units
selected as Priority, often have energy savers or other features that other
units don’t have.
The OFF mode - This mode does not allow Zone Control to turn the unit
on for any reason. It is normally only used when a unit is being serviced or
if the unit is an unused spare. When a unit is set to OFF, it is not included
in the rotation nor is it affected by the schedule.
