When the
RTS/CTS Hardware Handshaking
option is selected, the
RTS
(request to send) and
CTS
(clear to send) signals will be is
sued before normal
data communication. T
his option is very helpful to ensure
the reliability of data communication.

When the
AC
K/NAK Software Handshaking
option is selected, the DelfiScan waits for an
ACK
(acknowledge) or
NAK
(not acknowledge) from th
e
host com
puter after each data transmission. If the NAK is received, DelfiScan will re-send the data until receiving AC
K.

The
Tim
e Out Control
is a pre-defined delay time for DelfiScan to wait for handshaking, acknowledgment or non-acknowledgment from
the host
comput
er.
