To supply credentials in a CSV file, add the following to the end of the
command: --custom_node_credentials_file
"<PATH_TO_CSV_FILE>"
For example:
C:\Program Files\EMC\scaleio\AMS\webapps\ROOT\resources
\scaleio_repository --username admin --password Scaleio123 --
take_ownership --mdm_ips 10.234.215.223 --mdm_username admin
--mdm_password Scaleio123 --monitor_username remander --
monitor_password reman123 --custom_node_credentials_file "c:/
customCredsPlugin2.csv"
This process can take several minutes. Progress is displayed on the screen.
16. Replace the certificates of the nodes that you added, using one of the following
methods:
l
AMS CLI command: --replace_nodes_certificates
l
From the VxFlex OS GUI, select System Settings > Renew Certificates.
Results
The AMS can now be used to manage all the nodes in the previously non-managed
system.
After you finish
Perform the mandatory (and optional) post-deployment steps, described in the "Post-
deployment" section.
Creating a management takeover CSV file
During the management takeover process, you can upload a custom CSV file to assign
different credentials for each iDRAC or node (RHEL or ESXi).
You can use a custom CSV file in the following circumstances:
l
The credentials of nodes to be taken over do not match the VxFlex OS policy. For
example, the node password doesn't meet the VxFlex OS requirements.
l
The nodes do not all have the same password.
In both these cases, you must enter a valid password in the AMS deployment wizard
to be used for future system expansion. In the custom CSV file, type the IP address,
username, and password of each node. The username and password in the CSV file
overwrites the credentials assigned by the AMS wizard.
