puncture or damage to the battery and other system components.

bending, or crushing a lithium-ion battery can be dangerous. In such an instance, contact Dell technical

Removing the battery
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the base cover.

Steps
1. Remove the six (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
CAUTION:
To avoid damaging your computer, ensure that the battery cable has been disconnected from the
system board.
2. Lift the battery with battery cable off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
