About this task
NOTE: When installing the optional optical drive, ensure that the front cover of your computer has the slot for it.
The following image(s) indicate the location of the optical drive and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
1. Slide and replace the optical drive into its slot on the chassis.
2. Align the screw holes on the optical drive with the screw holes on the chassis.
3. Replace the two screws (M2x2) that secure the optical drive to the chassis.
4. Connect the optical-drive power cable to the connector on the optical drive.
5. Connect the optical-drive data cable to the connector on the optical drive.

1. Install the left-side cover.
