CAUTION: Disconnecting the I/O board resets the BIOS setup program’s settings to default. Before
disconnecting the I/O board, it is recommended to note the BIOS setup program’s settings.
Steps
1. Remove the optical drive.
2. Remove the base cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the hard drive.

Steps
1. Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.
2. Lift the I/O board, along with the cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
