b Lift the heat sink away from the laptop [2].
NOTE: Ensure to loosen the screws diagonally. The screws cannot be removed completely as being retention screws.
Installing the heat sink
1 Place the heat sink on the system board.
2 Tighten the captive screws to secure the heat sink to the laptop.
NOTE
: Ensure to tighten the screws diagonally to evenly cover the processor. Start with a screw and proceed with
diagonally opposite screw, irrespective of which screw one starts with.
3 Install the:
a battery
b base cover
4 Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer.
LED board
Removing the LED board
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the:
a base cover
b battery
3 To remove the LED board:
a Lift the latch and disconnect the LED board cable [1].
NOTE
: Use a sharp tool or a plastic scribe to gently lift the latch.
