Installing the hard drive into the hard drive bracket
1. Align the screw holders on the hard drive with the screws on the hard drive bracket.
2. Insert the hard drive into the hard drive bracket.
3. Tighten the screws to secure the hard drive to the hard drive bracket.
4. Install the:
a. hard drive assembly
b. battery
c. base cover
5. Follow the procedure in After working inside your system.
Installing the hard drive assembly
1. Insert the hard drive assembly into the slot on the computer.
2. Tighten the screws to secure the hard drive assembly to the computer.
3. Connect the hard drive cable to the connector on the hard drive and on the system board.
4. Install the:
a. battery
b. base cover
5. Follow the procedures in After working inside your system.
Installing the optional M.2 SSD
1. Insert the SSD into the connector on the computer.
2. Tighten the screw to secure the SSD to the computer.
3. Install the:
a. battery
b. base cover
