Removing The Heat Sink
1. Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer

2. Remove the cover.
3. Press the plastic clip and pull the heat-sink cable from the system board.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the captive screws securing the heat-sink assembly to the system board and
lift it away from the computer. Lay the assembly with the fan facing downwards, and with the thermal grease facing
upwards.
