14. THOROUGH CLEANING OF MILK CARAFE
Clean the milk carafe as described below:
1. Release the lid (E1)by turning clockwise: the reference
mark on the lid must be aligned with the symbol
(g. 24);
2. Now lift the lid (g. 25).
3. Pull out the milk intake tube (35).;

4. Turn the milk spout at right angles to the body and pull
until completely detached (g. 36).
5. Press the button (E5)to separate the connector (g. 37).

6. Wash in a dishwasher (recommended) or by hand as in-
dicated below:
• In a dishwasher: Rinse all the above components and
the milk container under hot running drinking water (at
least 40 °C), then place them in the top basket of the dish-
washer and run a wash programme at 50 °C, e.g. standard
ECO.
• By hand: Rinse all the components and the milk container
thoroughly with hot running drinking water (at least 40 °C)
to remove all visible milk residues, making certain to direct
the water through all the holes of the lid (g. 38). Next,
immerse all the components in a solution of hot drinking
water (at least 40° C) and washing up liquid for at least 30
minutes. Rinse all the components described above thor-
oughly under hot drinking water, rubbing each one individ-
ually between ngers and thumbs.

7. Rinse the milk carafe connector (E6) thoroughly (g. 39).
Take particular care to ensure that there are no milk resi-
dues in the air channel (see enlargement) (g. 40):
scrape
the channel clean if need be
, using a toothpick;

8. Dry all the components with a clean dry cloth;
9. Reassemble all the lid components;
10. Close the carafe: ret the lid (the reference mark on the lid
must be aligned with the symbol) then turn toward
the symbol until locked in position (g. 28).
15. CLEANING THE INFUSER
Important!
The infuser (A6) cannot be removed while the machine is on.
1. Press the button (B1)to turn the machine o;
2. Remove the water tank (A9);
3. Open the infuser door, positioned on the right hand side
(g. 41);
4. Press the two coloured release buttons inwards (g. 42), at
the same time pulling the infuser outwards;
