ā¢īāManual Setupā can be used without changing the settings. Please set if necessary.

Amp Assign
Select power ampliļ¬er
usage method to match
your speaker system.
Assign Mode : Set the assignment mode.
ā¢īMain Only : Setting for 7.1-channel playback using surround back, front
height, or front wide speakers.
ā¢īZONE2 : Setting to assign the unitās built-in power ampliļ¬er for ZONE2
and output the audio in stereo.
ā¢īZONE3 : Setting to assign the unitās built-in power ampliļ¬er for ZONE3
and output the audio in stereo.
ā¢īZ2/Z3(M) : Setting to assign the unitās built-in power ampliļ¬er for ZONE2
and ZONE3 and output the audio in monaural.
ā¢īBi-AMP : Setting to use the front speakers via the bi-amp connection.
ā¢īFront B : Setting to use the second set of front speakers for playback.
You can switch the front speakers A and B to be used for playback in
accordance with the 2-channel playback or multi-channel playback mode.
When you select this Front B setting, also perform the āFront Speaker
Setupā (vpageī133) procedure.
ā¢ī2CH : Setting to use the other front speakers for playback when you do
2-channel playback in DIRECT or STEREO mode.
NOTE
The HDMI audio signals for the input source selected in ZONE2 are not
output from the ZONE2 speakers.

Front : Set the front speaker size.
ā¢īLarge : Use a large speaker that can adequately play back low
frequencies.
ā¢īSmall : Use a small speaker that has inadequate playback capacity for
low frequencies.
ā¢īWhen āSubwooferā is set to āNoā, āFrontā is automatically set to
āLargeā.
ā¢īWhen āFrontā is set to āSmallā, āCenterā, āSurroundā, āSurr.īBackā,
āFront Heightā and āFront Wideā can not be set to āLargeā.
Center : Set the presence and size of the center speaker.
ā¢īLarge : Use a large speaker that can adequately play back low
frequencies.
ā¢īSmall : Use a small speaker that has inadequate playback capacity for
low frequencies.
ā¢īNone : Select when a center speaker is not connected.
āLargeā is not displayed when āFrontā is set to āSmallā.
Subwoofer : Set the presence of a subwoofer.
ā¢īYes : Use a subwoofer.
ā¢īNo : Select when a subwoofer is not connected.
When āFrontā is set to āSmallā, āSubwooferā is automatically set to
āYesā.
Surround : Set the presence and size of the surround speakers.
ā¢īLarge : Use a large speaker that can adequately play back low
frequencies.
ā¢īSmall : Use a small speaker that has inadequate playback capacity for
low frequencies.
ā¢īNone : Select when the surround speakers are not connected.
ā¢īWhen āSurroundā is set to āLargeā, āSurr.īBackā, āFront Heightā and
āFront Wideā can be set to āLargeā.
ā¢īWhen āSurroundā is set to āNoneā, āSurr.īBackā, āFront Heightā and
āFront Wideā are automatically set to āNoneā.
