shown below.
COMP1 (Component video 1 input connector) / COMP2 (Component
video 2 input connector)
None
: Do not assign the component video input connectors to the currently
selected input source.
bUpon purchase, the settings of the different input sources are as shown
below.

iPod Dock
Change the input source to
which the control dock for
iPod is assigned.
The control dock for iPod can be assigned to the

input sources.
Assign
: Assign the currently selected input source to the Control Dock for
iPod input.
None
: Do not assign the currently selected input source to the Control Dock
for iPod input.
With the default settings, the control dock for iPod can be used
connected to the VCR (iPod) connector.
Even if “iPod Dock” is set to Assign, if AVR-590 and control dock
for iPod are not connected, the input is used as the normal input
source.

When HDMI is assigned to an input source, the audio signal switches
to HDMI along with the video signal. To use with the digital audio
input connectors assigned, set menu “Input Mode(vpage 32) to
“Digital”.
When the AVR-590 and TV are connected with an HDMI cable, if the
TV is not compatible with HDMI audio signal playback, only the video
signals are output to the monitor.
The audio signals input from the analog, digital and EXT. IN connectors
are not output to the TV.
NOTE
When “HDMI Control” is set to “ON”, HDMI cannot be assigned to “TV”
at the “HDMI” settings (vpage 27).
