Using the Various Functions

Presetting stations in the memory
The frequency and the name of the radio station fincluding
names which you have input yourself), are also stored in the
memory.
In particular, the various ROS functions can be used affectivety
when ROS stations are stored in the memory.
How to preset the memory
Press the MEMORY button @. The “MEMO” indicator on the
display @ tights. Next, use SHIFT/PTY button @ to select the
memory block A, B, C, D or E. Now press the PRESET UP or
DOWN button © to specify the preset channel number, and
then press the MEMORY buiton @ to store the stetion in the
memory.
The preset channel numbers for the different memory biocks
are as follows.
Memory block A : 10 8
Memory block 8 :1to 8
Memory block C :1to0 8
Memory block DO :1to B
Memory bieck E : lto 8B
. Auto Memory (FM onty)
The ORA-565R0/ORA-365AD Is equipped with an auto mem-
ory function. :
Connect the antenna, set it so that stations can be received,
(hen hold in the MEMORY button and press the POWER button
ta turn the power on. Stations for which the auto stop function
operates are stored in the preset memory in the order Al to
A8. 8! to B8, and so on, through E8.
Channet Al is tuned in after the auto memory operation is
comoleted.
Using this function makes it possible to find out the overall
reception conditions of the receivable stations. The memory
can be used effectively by recalling the channels in the preset
memory and replacing stations whose reception is poor with
stations whose reception is good, using the procedure de-
scribed in 1 above.
. Recaiiing preset stations
Use the SHIFT /PTY button © to select memory block A. B,C, D
of E, then press the PRESET UP or DOWN button @ to recall
the station stored in the memory.
tf the PRESET UP or DOWN buttons are pressed without
pressing the SHIFT/PTY button @, the stations are recalied in
the order Al to AS, 81 to BS, and so on, through £8.
- ROS search (for FM onty)
Use this function to automatically tune to stations offering
Radio Date Service.
This operation is also possible by pressing the TUNER button
on the remote contrat unit once when the function is set to the
TUNER mode.

. PTY search (for FM onty)
Use this function to find stations broadcasting a designated
type of programme type (PTY).
This operation is siso possible by pressing the TUNER button
on the remote control unit twice when the function is set io the
TUNER mode. Next, press the PANEL button on the remote
control unit, select the PTY, then press the PRESET UP or
OOWN buttons to start the PTY search lunciion in the specified
direction,

6. TP Search (for FM onty)
This function is used to find stations scheduled to broadcast
traffic programmes (TP stations).
This operation is stso possible by pressing the TUNER button
on the remote control unit three times when the function is set
to the TUNER mode.

Recall the station name you want to clear.
Press the RDS button 4 times until the character at the first
piace flashes.

The current station name will then be cleared.
: Station names must be stored in a preset memory to be
retained. If the power Is turned off, or if the band (AM/FM)
is changed, the station name will be fost. Be sure to store
ihe entered station name in a Preset Memory before
changing the band or turning the power switch OFF.
