Using the Various Functions
1. Presetting stations in the memory

The frequency and the mame of the radio station fincluging
names which you have input yourself}, are also stored in the
memory.
In particular, the various RDS functions can be used effectively
when ADS stations are stored in the memory.
How lo preset the memory
Press the MEMORY button @. The “MEMO” indicator on the
display @ lights, Next, use SHIFT/PTY button @ to select the
memory block A, 8, C, 0 ar E. Now press the PRESET UP or
DOWN button © to specify the preset channet number, and
then press the MEMORY button @ to store the station in the
memory.
The preset channel! numbers for the different memory diocks
are as follows.
Memory block A 1

. Auto Memory (FM onty}
The DRA-565A0/0RA-365AD is equipped with an auto mem:
ory function.
Connect the antenna, set it 80 that stations can be received,
then hold in the MEMORY button and press the POWER button
to turn the power on. Stations for which the auto stop function
Opersies are stored in the preset memory In the order Al to
A8. B1 to 88, end so on, through E&
Channel Ad tuned in after the auto memory operation is
completed.
Using this function makes it possible to find aut the overall
reception
conditions
of
the
receivable
stations.
The
memory
can be used efectivety by recalling ‘hannels in the preset
memory and replacing stations whose reception is poor with
stations whose reception is good, using the procedure de-
scribed in 1 above.
. Recalling preset stations
Use the SHIFT/PTY button © to salect memory block A, B,C, D
or E, then preas the PRESET UP or DOWN button © to recalt
the station stored in the memory.
If the PRESET UP of DOWN buttons are pressed without
preasing the SHIFT/PTY button @, the stations are recalied in
the order Al to A8, B1 to BS, and 80 on, through E8.
ROS search (for FM onty)
Use Ihis function to automatically tune to stations offering
Radio Oate Service.
This operation is also possible by pressing the TUNER button
On the remote contrat unit once when the function is set to the
TUNER mode,

. PTY search (for FM onty)
Use thes function to find stations broadcasting a designated
type of programme type (PTY).
This operation is aiso possible by Pressing the TUNER dutton
on the remote control unit twice when the function is set (9 the
TUNER mode. Next, press the PANEL button on the remote
Controf unit, select the PTY, then press the PRESET UP of
DOWN buttons to start the PTY search lunctian in the specified
direction.

6. TP Seerch (for FM onty)
Thia function is used to find stations scheduled to broadcast
traffic programmes {TP stations}.
This operstion is atso possible by preasing the TUNER button
on the remote control unit three times when the function is set
to the TUNER mode.

3. Then press the SHIFT/PTY button for at least 2 seconds.
The current station name will then be cleared.
Note:
Station
names

retained.

power
