TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The following guide will assist you in determining errors and problems you may encounter
with your Detecto
®
SlimPro Low-Profile Health Scale.
SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE POSSIBLE SOLUTION
99 is displayed for
about 2 seconds and the
scale turns off.
Initialization Error Step off the scale. Press lightly on
the scale to re-initialize it. The
display will show a moving zero
and then turn off. The scale is
ready for use again.
99 is displayed for
about 2 seconds and the
scale turns off.`
Unstable weight Repeat weighing measurement
again, standing very still while the
weight computation is in process.
99 is displayed for
about 2 seconds and the
scale turns off.
Weight on scale
exceeds scale capacity.
Ensure scale is empty and not
touching anything before stepping
on it to weigh. If scale continues to
show 99, contact your scale
service representative.
!6 is displayed for about
2 seconds and the scale
turns off.`
One or more batteries
are too low for accurate
weighing and should be
replaced.
Remove battery panel on bottom
of scale. Replace all four (4)
batteries, and then re-install
battery panel.
Scale will not turn on after
replacing batteries.
One or more batteries
may be installed
incorrectly.
Remove battery panel on bottom
of scale. Verify that all four (4)
batteries are installed correctly in
battery holder, and then re-install
battery panel.
Scale is displaying weight
in wrong weighing units.
Wrong weighing units
selected during scale
setup.
Ensure scale is off. Press the
push button weighing units switch
on bottom of scale to toggle to
correct weighing units.
Scale is speaking weight
in wrong language or not
at all.
Wrong voice language
selected during scale
setup.
Refer to Voice Language
Selection instructions to select
desired voice language.
Weight displayed is wrong
or display erratic.
Is scale used on
carpeted or non-
carpeted floor?
Carpet feet should be
installed when scale is
used on carpeted floor.
On non-carpeted floor,
carpet feet should not be
installed.
If scale is used on carpeted floor,
check if carpet feet are installed. If
not, install carpet feet and perform
weighing operation again.
If scale continues to show wrong
or erratic weight, move scale to
non-carpeted floor and perform
weighing operation again.
If on non-carpeted floor, scale
continues to show wrong or erratic
weight, contact your scale service
representative.
