3.3.2Installation via web interface
To set up the WiFi 6 Repeater 3000, you
need a terminal device (laptop, smartphone
or tablet) with WiFi capability.
1 For the initial set-up, the WiFi 6 Repeater 3000
sets up a temporary Wi-Fi network called
"devolo WiFi 6 Repeater 3000", which has no
Internet connection. Connect to this network
with your terminal device (no password is
required).
2 Use a web browser on your terminal device to
call up the address http://2.2.2.1
.
3 Your WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 features two oper-
ating modes:
Repeater mode
a When you use the WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 as
a WiFi repeater, you expand your existing
network wirelessly.
a Use this mode if you would rather not (or
cannot) route Ethernet cables in your
rooms. This procedure is described in Chap-
ter 3.3.3 Configuration as a repeater.
Access point mode
a When you use the WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 as
an additional access point in your network,
you expand your existing network through
cabling.
a To do so, connect the device directly to your
Internet access device (router). This proce-
dure is described in Chapter 3.3.4 Configu-
ration as an access point.
3.3.3Configuration as a repeater
1 Click Install as repeater.
2 The WiFi 6 Repeater 3000 automatically
searches for Wi-Fi networks in the vicinity.
