Step 5: Check Phone
Settings
No glucose alerts unless you turn them on
Turn on alerts during setup to get glucose and
system alerts when sensor warmup is over
Dexcom ONE alerts will NOT override your
phone’s settings
You will NOT hear high or low glucose alerts if
your phone is set to silent (sound is turned off)
You will hear alerts ONLY when your phone is set
to sound
Check your phone’s settings or you may miss an
alert
Step 6: Turn On Alerts
If you did not turn on alerts during set up, you can do
so at any time.
1. Tap Settings > Alerts
2. You will see a list of alerts
3. Tap one you want to set
4. Follow the screen prompts
5. Return to Settings > Alerts to set another one
6. Tap Glucose to return to the home screen
Smart Device Safety Notice
Your smart device isn’t a dedicated medical device.
To make sure you get sensor readings and alerts:
Do not use a hacked (jailbroken or rooted) smart
device because Dexcom ONE may not work
correctly.
Bluetooth must be on for your transmitter and
app to communicate.
Do not rely on Dexcom ONE until you understand
how to use it and your smart device’s Bluetooth.
Make sure your smart device’s speaker(s) and
screen work.
