  If your Dexter Laundry Washer doesn't start, begin by checking the power supply: examine the circuit breakers, voltage, power leads, and connections. Verify that the front display LED shows a dollar amount. Also, inspect the door switch for continuity when closed; adjust or replace it if there's no continuity. Check the control breaker or fuse (1.5 amp, or 2.5 amp for T-1200 models) for continuity, replacing it if necessary. Verify the voltage output from the control transformer (120VAC), replacing the transformer if the voltage is incorrect. Ensure all wire connections on the PCB board and relay PCB have secure contacts. Unplug and replug the data cable phone type connectors with the power removed. Finally, check that 120V power reaches the door solenoid when the start button is pressed.

  If the door of your Dexter Laundry Washer won't open, first check the thermoactuator and its mechanism to ensure it is not stuck or binding. Confirm that the locking thermoactuator is not receiving 120VAC during the last 1.5 minutes of the cycle and that the unlocking thermoactuator is receiving 120VAC during the last minute. If the thermoactuators do not receive voltage at the correct times, change the timer. If the timing and voltage are correct, replace the thermoactuator. Also, check that the door rod from the solenoid to the lock assembly is long enough to allow the lock assembly to disengage; adjust the rod if necessary. Lastly, check that the door lock solenoid is not stuck closed; if it is, replace it.
