  If the green Charged LED lights up shortly after connecting the DieHard Battery Charger to the battery, it could mean the battery is already fully or recently charged, resulting in a high voltage. To address this, if the battery is in a vehicle, turn on the headlights for a few minutes to lower the battery voltage and then try charging again. You can also reset the charger by unplugging it or briefly disconnecting the negative battery clip. Make sure to select the correct charge rate and battery type afterward.

This can also occur if the battery doesn't fully charge within 24 hours, possibly because it's too large or requires more power than the charger can provide in that time. The battery itself might also be faulty. To resolve this, reset the charger by unplugging it and plugging it back in, or briefly disconnecting the negative battery clip. Then, select the correct charge rate and battery type, if necessary.

  If your engine crank time is less than specified when using the DieHard Battery Charger, the starter motor might be drawing more than 80 Amps. To resolve this, charge the battery at the 30A rate for 10 to 15 minutes, then try cranking the engine.
