Why does my DieHard 28.71326 have a short start cycle?
    • A
      austindylanAug 20, 2025
A short or no start cycle when cranking the engine with your DieHard Battery Charger can occur if the cranking draws more current than the Engine Start Rate, if you don't wait 3 minutes between cranks, if the clamps aren't making a good connection, if the AC cord is loose, if there's no power at the receptacle, if the charger is overheated or if the battery is severely discharged. To resolve this: * Ensure you wait 3 minutes between cranks to allow cooling. * Check for good connections at the battery and frame. * Check the power cord and extension cord for loose connections. * Check the AC outlet for an open fuse or circuit breaker. * Ensure the charger vents are not blocked. * For a severely discharged battery, use the 3012A Boost setting for a few minutes.
