–– The media name specifies which boot media to use.
– FLA: –– Use Flash RAM. For example:

– ETH: –– Use the network to find a load host. For example:

– FLA:ETH: –– Use Flash RAM first, and if that does not work, then use
the network to find a load host. For example:

• B/M –– This command boots the maintenance mode software for the DEC-
server. The network load host defines this software and is typically based on
the Ethernet MAC address of the DECserver.
• B/S –– This command boots the standard system software for the DECserver.
The network load host defines this software and is typically based on the
Ethernet MAC address of the DECserver.
• H –– This command displays the help text that describes the interactive boot
mode commands.
• I–– This command initializes the DECserver using the default boot parame-
ters. All normal self-tests are performed.
• R –– This command resets the factory-settings and initializes the DECserver.
This command requires verification. Enter YES if you want to reset the DEC-
server to factory settings.
