Service Precautions

Opening/Closing Front Hood
To open:
1. Unlock hood at lower handle (1) and upper
latches (2), if hood is locked.
2. Twist lower handle (1) and lift hood upward
and outward.
3. Continue lifting hood and push inward until
up-latch (3) engages.
To close:
1. Disengage the up-latch (3) by holding it up as
the hood is pulled outward using the lower
handle (1).
2. Pull outward on the hood until it begins to
move downward.
3. Place other hand on top outer surface of hood
(4) and firmly push downward and inward until
hood is completely closed, latch upper
latches.
4. Lock hood at lower handle and upper latches, if desired.
