S Mode Operation (slow ination): The user has an option to select the S mode
button to switch to a slower ination mode. After selection, both cus begin to inate
simultaneously once every 60 seconds. The ination cycle is approximately 10 seconds
long. The aircells inate to a peak pressure of 45mmHg ±10%. In 50 seconds, the ination
cycle begins again. In S mode, pressures are automatic and alarms function normally.
Product Description
The VenaFlow Elite System is a device that is for the Prophylaxis of Deep Vein
Thrombosis. This system includes a pump, cu (applied part), and connector tubing.
The pump provides graduated, sequential compression to the aircells contained in the
cu via the connector tubing.
User Prole
The intended user should be a licensed medical professional. The user should be able to:
• read and understand the operator’s manual, warnings and cautions
• manually apply the compression cuffs
• sense auditory and visual signals
Intended Use/Indications
The VenaFlow Elite S-Mode System is intended as a prophylaxis for deep vein
thrombosis (DVT). The System is for Adult Use only. The VenaFlow Elite S-Mode System
is designed to be used only with Aircast VenaFlow Elite Compression Cus. Battery
operation use only with DJO, LLC battery packs.
Performance Charactersitics
Provide aid in the prevention of DVT, diminish post-operative pain and swelling, reduce
wound healing time, aid in the treatment of stasis dermatitis, venous stasis ulcers, arterial and
diabetic leg ulcers, chronic venous insuciency and reduction of edema in the lower limbs for
persons expecting to be stationary for long periods of time through semi-rigid construction.
