Appendix B GPS Tracker Functions and LED Status
B.1 Functions
Function Operation Description
Voice Phone Functions
Speed dialing
Set phone numbers for each
corresponding (#1, #2, #3)
buttons
Press the speed dial button for three seconds
to make calls to the pre-programmed number
Receiving Call
Call in, pick up the phone by
press the Answer button
Speaker phone
When call connected, press the
Answer button to toggle the
speaker phone mode.
Use the GPS Tracker as a speaker phone.
Positioning Functions
Check Position by Call
Call the tracker and hang-up the
phone
Return SMS with detailed position
information, SMS format see Appendix C
Check Position by SMS Send formatted SMS to tracker
Return SMS with detailed position
information, SMS format see Appendix C
Park
Press and hold the red Park
button for three seconds to enter
parking mode and leave the
device in the vehicle.
Once the GPS Tracker detects motion, the
GPS Tracker will trigger a "Moving" SMS
message with its current location.
Geo fence
Enable the Geo fence function in
the TrackerTool program and
sets the fence range defined by
center point and radius
Once the GPS Tracker travels outside a
pre-programmed boundary, the GPS Tracker
will trigger a "Outside" SMS message with its
current location.
Speed alert
Set device to notify the user when
the device is traveling at a speed
higher than the preset value.
The GPS Tracker can be programmed to
send out a SMS message when the device is
traveling over the preset speed limit
Trace log
Enable the Tracking function in
the Configuration Tool program
and sets the recording interval
The GPS Tracker will record its GPS position
at. pre-programmed intervals and store the
location on a flash card for downloading or
connecting to Google Earth from a PC
Emergency Functions
SOS
Press and hold the red SOS
button for three seconds
Automatically dial preset emergency number
(e.g., 112 or 911)
Help
Press and hold the Help button
for three seconds
The GPS Tracker will send out a Help
message to pre-programmed numbers in the
contact list
Surveillance
Enable the surveillance function
in the TrackerTool program. The
caller’s phone number must be.
pre-programmed in the "Allow
calls" list. The caller dials in and
waits for over 8 seconds
Caller uses the device as a surveillance voice
monitor
Settings and Misc
Configuration Tool
Power off the tracker and
connect it to PC
Use PC client software to change the settings
SMS Commands
Edit a formatted SMS and send
it to the tracker
Use formatted SMS to change the settings
or working state
Battery low Alert
Set the device to notify the user
when battery reaches a low level
using the Configuration Tool
The GPS Tracker will automatically send out a
battery low SMS message to the
pre-programmed number
