  If your Dometic Control Unit does not heat, consider the following possible causes: * The unit may not have a heating cycle. Most units have a reverse cycle to create heat, but some units may not have this function. * The display may be set to cool-only or electric heat. Change the parameters on the display or press the Mode button to activate heating or automatic. The auxiliary electric heat will not function if the display is set to auxiliary electric heat and the unit does not have an auxiliary electric heater added. * The reversing valve may be stuck. Lightly tap on the valve with a rubber mallet while the unit is in heat mode. Call a service technician if that does not correct the problem. * The seawater temperature may be too low.   An iced fan coil in your Dometic Control Unit may be due to: * The humidity level being set too high. Close the hatches and doors. * The supply air short-cycling. Redirect the supply air so that it is not blowing in or near the return-air stream. Seal any air leaks on the duct. * Blocked or restricted airflow. Refer to “There is a lack of airflow”. * The fan running too slow. Set the fan speed to automatic mode or increase the manual fan speed. Or, increase the minimum low speed in the program parameters. * The system running continuously. Close hatches and doors, raise set point, turn on de-icing.

  A low-pressure fault can be caused by a few things. The low-pressure switch might be open due to low seawater and/or low return-air temperatures, so try to restart the air conditioner. It could also be open due to a loss of refrigerant, so check the air conditioner for a refrigerant oil leak and call for service. Finally, the low-pressure switch might be defective or a wire might be loose, so contact a maintenance dealer to test the low-pressure switch and to ensure the wires are properly connected.

  The system might run continuously if the unit is not able to reach the set point, so close all the terminal holes and hatches, and adjust the set point so it is not too low for cooling or too high for heating. Also, the seawater temperature might be too high for cooling or too low for heating. The optional inside air temperature sensor might not be located properly, so verify the display location with the criteria found in the installation section of this manual and install an optional inside air temperature sensor if necessary. Finally, the de-icing feature might not be enabled, so enable de-icing in the parameters.
