Make an assistance call
CAUTION
When an emergency assistance call is activated the phone is pre-set to
handsfree mode. In handsfree mode the volume may be extremely loud.
1. When help is needed, press and hold the assistance button for 3
seconds.
The assistance call begins after a delay of 5 seconds. In this time you
can prevent a possible false alarm by pressing .
2. The first Helper in the list is called. If the call is not answered within
25 seconds, the next number is called. Calling is repeated 3 times or
until the call is answered, or until is pressed.
3. An assistance text message (SMS) is sent to all recipients.
Note! Some private security companies can accept automatic calls from
their clients. Always contact the security company before using their
phone number. Do not use the emergency number.
Assistance settings
Contacts
Add numbers to the list that is called when the assistance button is
pressed.
IMPORTANT!
Always inform recipients in the numbers list that they are listed as your
assistance contacts.
1. Press Menu Settings Assistance Contacts.
2. Select a SOS position and press Options Edit to add the number to
call.
3. Press OK to confirm.
Tip: To edit or remove an existing entry, select it and press Options Edit
or Delete.
Assistance SMS
A text message can be sent to the contacts in the numbers list when the
assistance button is pressed.
