10.3 Upgrades
10.3.1 Firmware Upgrade
Upgrading the firmware requires a valid firmware image from Markem-Imaje. The
printer must be turned on and connected to the controller computer before beginning the
process. After pressing the button, a valid firmware image must be selected to upload to
the printer. After selecting the firmware image, the upgrade will begin automatically. A
message indicating successful upgrade will be displayed when the process is complete.
10.3.2 Replace Head
There are two ways to incorporate the license and IP address information from the
selected file.
The
(Replace Head) button incorporates the license and IP address
information from the selected file, overwriting the existing information in the selected
head. This can be useful if an upgraded or replacement head is installed and you would
like to save other settings such as Distance From Sensor, Pen Fire Voltage, or Pen Fire
Time from the old print head.
The
(Load New Printer) button incorporates the license and IP address
information from the selected file, overwriting the existing information in the selected
head. The Printer Configuration settings are reset to default values.
