Another typical configuration is shown below.
Instead of flameproof cable glands explosion proof seals are used.
Read the installation manual of the explosion proof seals carefully to avoid dangerous situations.
Notes:
1. Control Equipment and Electrical Apparatus connected to the 88XX Rack monitor should NOT use
or generate more than 250 Volts AC.
2. Installation should be in accordance with Electrical installations in hazardous areas EN/IEC60079-
14, EN50281 VDE-0165,NEC ANSI/NFPA 70 and ANSI/ISA RP12.6. In Canada, the system must
be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, CEC Part 1 and/or in accordance
with all national and local regulations (codes) for installation of electrical equipment.
3. Seal must be placed within XX“ when used in a Division 1 environment.
4. Seal must be placed directly at the entry when used in an ATEX/IECEx environment.
5. Only certified cable-glands and blind stops (M20x1,5 or M16x1,5) for flameproof enclosure may be
used.
