Reprocessing
– Thermal disinfection
–Drying
Proceed as follows after the cycle has ended:
1. Check all components for visible soiling.
2. Repeat the cycle if necessary.
13.10.4 Drying the components
► Allow all the components to dry completely.
To prevent residual moisture, adjust the drying times during machine
reprocessing.
13.10.5 Additional reprocessing procedures
Additional reprocessing procedures have not been tested by Dräger with regard to
their effectiveness.
However, the materials in the following components permit steam sterilization up to
a maximum of 137 °C (278.6 °F):
– Upper part of the breathing system
– Lower part of the breathing system
– Sensor cap of the O
2 sensor
–APL valve
– Inspiratory port
– Expiratory port
– Inspiratory valve (yellow)
– Expiratory valve (blue)
– Fresh-gas decoupling valve (black)
– Piston diaphragm
– Breathing bag arm (option)
– Absorber container
– Absorber insert
► After sterilization, inspect the components for damage and replace if necessary.
