Large Drill Bits
Large drill bits (3/8” to 1/2”) will require more half-turns of the
Chuck. A well-sharpened bit will have a smooth surface from Cut-
ting Edge to Heel. It may take two or three complete sharpenings
(repeat all steps) to re-sharpen a very dull or chipped large drill
bit.
Short Drill Bits
The new Chuck design on the 350X enables you to sharpen short
bits as easily as longer ones. Simply align the bit in the Chuck as
normal. Note that it is OK for the Chuck Fingers to come into
contact with the Sharpening Wheel. This will not damage the
Chuck.
