Iftheunitisnotworkingproperly,callaqualiedtechniciantoexaminetheunitandrepairit.
DriveMedicalproductsarespecicallydesignedandmanufacturedforuseinconjunctionwithDriveMedi-
calaccessories.AccessoriesdesignedbyothermanufacturershavenotbeentestedbyDriveMedicaland
arenotrecommendedforusewithDriveMedicalproducts.
Keepallmovingparts,includingthemainframe,mattressdeck(headandfootsprings/sections)andall
driveshaftsfreeofobstruction(i.e.blankets/sheets,heatingblankets/pads,tubing,wiring,etc.andother
typesofproductsusingelectriccordswhichmaygettangledaroundthebed,siderailsorlegs)during
operation of the bed.
Keeptheproductaminimumof12inchesawayfromanydirectheatsource.
Makesureheadandfootsprings/sectionsareconnectedsecurelytotheuniversalbedendsbeforeuse.
Physicallychallengedindividualswhocannotpreventthemselvesfromrolling/climbingoutofthethisbed
mayrequirealternativesafemeansofrestraint.
Proceduresotherthanthosedescribedinthismanualmustbeperformedbyaqualiedtechnician.
Riskofinjurytopersons-DO NOT place video equipment such as televisions or computer monitors on
bed.
NEVER allowpatientstousetrapezeortractionunitsasatotalindividualweightsupport.
Trapezeunitsaretobeusedonlyforassistingthepatientinrepositioningortransferringintooroutofbed.
Trapeze units must be positioned on a universal bed end as near as possible to the center point of the
bed end.
Thebedisnotdesignedtobeusedasapatienttransport.Whentransportingapatient,useanapproved
patienttransport.Otherwise,injuryordamagemayresult.
Thebedmaybeequippedwithlockingcasters.Whentransferringintooroutofthebed,alwayslockthe
lockingcaster(s).Inspectforcorrectlockingactiononcasterlocksbeforeusingbed.Evenwithcasters
properlylocked,someooringsurfacessuchastileorwood,willallowthebedtomoveundersomecon-
ditions.Useonsurfacessuchasthesemustbeevaluatedbythecareprovider.
Theinitialsetupofthisbedmustbeperformedbyaqualiedtechnician.
