  If your Echo Chainsaw engine runs but then dies or doesn't accelerate properly, the issue could stem from several causes. A dirty air filter, a dirty fuel filter, or a plugged fuel vent could be the problem. The spark plug might be dirty or worn, or the carburetor may be improperly adjusted. The cooling system could be dirty or plugged, or the spark arrestor screen could be plugged. Try cleaning or replacing the air filter, replacing the fuel filter, cleaning or replacing the fuel vent, cleaning and adjusting or replacing the spark plug, adjusting the carburetor, cleaning the cooling system, or replacing the spark arrestor screen to resolve the issue.

Also, the spark arrestor screen could be plugged, so replace it. Improper adjustment may also be the root cause, so adjust it.
